Before the election, and all throughout his campaign, Barack Obama claimed that "secrecy dominated government actions in the Bush administration," and that Bush "ignored public disclosure rules by invoking the state secrets privilege more than any other previous administration to get cases thrown out of civil court."
Mr. Obama, no one, but you, knows more, and has done more, to abuse the legal system as a Presidential candidate and President-elect, to get cases regarding your Constitutional eligibility thrown out of court on technicalities, and not on their merits.
Where is the openness you promised?
Your Campaign website touted how you would not "sign any non-emergency bill without giving the American public an opportunity to review and comment on the White House website for five days." Does that include any of your non-emergency Executive Orders, such as funding abortions in foreign countries, and closing Gitmo and other places to hold terrorists?
Mr. Obama, you promised on your website that you would "amend executive orders to ensure that communications about regulatory policymaking between persons outside government and all White House staff are disclosed to the public." To whom has the White House spoken on the outside regarding the EO's you signed this week?
What about the $875 billion "stimulus package," aka, massive political payoff? Will it always be tagged with the "emergency label" no matter how long it takes to pass?
Obama also said that he will "shed light on all earmarks by disclosing the name of the legislator who asked for each earmark, along with a written justification, 72 hours before they can be approved by the full Senate." So, when are we going to hear exactly to where this $875 billion is going?
Obama pledged on his shiny, new Change.gov websore...er, website, that he will "Open up government to its citizens, by using cutting-edge technologies to create a new level of transparency, accountability, and participation for America's citizens." OK. I just sent you an email asking you to reveal what you and the Supreme Court discussed in private. I also sent a letter to the NSA, FBI, and CIA to see what information they collected on you in order for you to get your security clearance.
While you're at it, Mr. President, since you continually cracked on Bush for making the "release of Presidential records more difficult," will you, in the spirit of your commitment to transparency, openness, fairness, and accountability, now provide all American citizens with the valid, concrete proof that you're a natural-born citizen and Constitutionally qualified to be the President?
That's not asking too much, is it?
Very good comments questions and thoughts. It’s too bad no one on both sides will tell the truth regarding a very simple question.
If one pays attention to the platitudes coming from the White House, he will soon have quite a list of the "brush off prases."
The most common excuse is "If my decision was a mistake, the people will let me know". That is a reference to his blackberry by which every American is supposed to be able to talk to The Obamessiah.
Or, the opinions from the minions come through replies to any of the myriad e-mails sent daily to the Obamazombies.
He used the ploy when asked how he could approve a lobbyist the day after he said his administration would hire no one who had lobbied within two years. "If it is a mistake, the people will let me know."

Thank you, Polarik. Good article.
Ping.
“Hey! Shut up!
I won!”
No (see executive order at link)
SCOTUS. NSA. FBI. CIA...and not one of them can be counted on to protect the Republic?
Granny has been telling us for years to believe the Communist Manifesto. She posted a condensed list several years ago, but I don’t know where to find it and she isn’t around anymore.
LOL I thought the people were letting him know. His blackberry must be turned off.
That scumbag better just hurry up with my tax cut.
EXCELLENT POINTS.
Probably ‘watering one’s self’ in the wind . . . but excellent points.
One phrase he can’t use today is, “It’s above my pay grade”.
I just went to look for nw_arizona_granny who has spent years researching terrorists and news stories and the like since we started TM in 2003. Not to mention she is an elderly woman who lives in a trailer in the desert sometimes without heat and FR was a lot of her day to day work to have something to do.
This is what I found............and let me say with all the other cr@p that's posted on FR why can't there be a thread with recipes, Carlo3b used to have one along with others.

Please **quit** spamming FR with the recipes...
Simply post the links. Theres absolutely no reason to post the content if you post the link to the content.
Its wasting FR resources...
Thanks,

What happened to any media questioning this missle strike in Pakistan?
WHERE is the transparency????? WHAT was the reasoning?
Or was it just provocation.
FYI and Ping Lists
They don't know it yet, but it's going to blow up in their face as soon as any action is taken to reveal information in Bush's records. The same type of records from the Bush Administration that 0's legal team seeks to disclose to the public and the DOJ, will then be subject to disclosure for Obama's Administration.
