WASHINGTON -- President Obama warned Republicans on Capitol Hill today that they need to quit listening to radio king Rush Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats and the new administration.
"You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done," he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to discuss his nearly $1 trillion stimulus package.
One White House official confirmed the comment but said he was simply trying to make a larger point about bipartisan efforts.
"There are big things that unify Republicans and Democrats," the official said. "We shouldn't let partisan politics derail what are very important things that need to get done."
That wasn't Obama's only jab at Republicans today.
While discussing the stimulus package with top lawmakers in the White House's Roosevelt Room, President Obama shot down a critic with a simple message.
"I won," he said, according to aides who were briefed on the meeting. "I will trump you on that."

Me too. With extra security, extra security and some more security and some friends in very high places. We've seen Waco, Vince Foster, TWA 800, the weathermen bombings and all sorts of mischief and mayhem.
Wearing my tin foil hat or not, I believe that this current bunch is capable of anything and now they have a compliant press along with total power and access to do whatever and no one to tell them they can't.
Being from majority Chicago, he's NEVER had to negotiate with conservatives. He's always gotten his way.

I think the principle of separation of media and state is a penumbra and emanation of the constitution. Other than that, Obama can buzz off. I like division between the two parties, and gridlock. I will watch who and what I want.

As for Barry’s lunacy that him winning the presidency has anything to do with individual congresscritters across the country, he may need to go back to government class. I hope my senators and congressman vote according to principles that promote freedom.
Some are arguing that this "stimulus package" is a giant step toward "remaking" America into a European-style socialist country. Whatever, it's very important to Present Obama.
It's a Marxist revolution from the top down IMO. The 1960s Marxist street rabble along with their ideological issue are in power. No need for revolution from the streets.
Widespread street violence may be necessary however to create Obama's People's Domestic Defense Corps or whatever.. so they'll be stirring up violence. I bet.
