Rep. Carolyn McCarthy said yesterday Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand's gun control views make her unacceptable for the U.S. Senate and threatened a primary challenge in 2010 if Gov. David A. Paterson selects the Hudson Democrat to replace Hillary Rodham Clinton.

"I've spent 15 years trying to prevent gun violence in this country, and if he does pick her and if no one goes and primaries her, I will primary her," McCarthy said. "I will do that. I'm not going to give up on this. I'm not going to let New York State get represented by someone who gets a 100 percent rating from the NRA."
Sen. Charles Schumer, who like McCarthy is a strong proponent of gun control, asked the Mineola Democrat to refrain from protesting Gillibrand's selection, McCarthy said.

Yep. And the comment by her at the end of the video about a barrel shroud “being that shoulder thing that goes up” displayed her ignorance about folding stocks, too. Pretty clear that she didn’t know what either was called. Seems to me an elected representative should have at least some basic knowledge of what she’s trying to ban.
The rats in Congress pick up over 50 seats in the House and 14 seats in the Senate since 2006 by moving to the right on social issues, and the RINO geniuses tell us we should move to the left. These RINOs got to go.There's generally a need to move to the middle to run, just not on all issues. The leftists move right to get to the middle, and conservatives move left to get to the middle.

Well I'm sure that she has at one time or the other: but according to good Socialists like herself, it's a living and breathing document which morphs to fit whatever they need.

Schumer and Clinton undercut McCarthy completely and totally with that luncheon over the weekend.
And now that I’ve heard the new Senator from New York...wow, talk about being several levels above not just one trick McCarthy, but also Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg.
