Using a St. Louis Cardinals baseball cap and a soiled pair of boxers, authorities said they were able to connect a pair of Franklinton men to a string of robberies at Sonic Drive-Ins from Livingston Parish to Pearl River County, Miss.
Authorities think Palanstea T. Williams, 18, and Jay T. MaGee, 21, held up at least six of the restaurants in the past three months, locking the staff in freezers in some cases, and tried to rob two more before being caught after they were locked out of their truck during a robbery in Poplarville, Miss.
Though police had surveillance footage of the suspects, they had been unable to identify or catch the bandits until Jan. 2, when they parked their pickup about two blocks from the Sonic on South Main Street in Poplarville about 9:40 p.m. A resident who lived on the street noticed the men and, finding them suspicious, called police, Poplarville Police Chief Charlie Fazende said at a news conference Thursday.
An officer arrived to find the men had already walked away, leaving their truck unlocked and running, Fazende said. The officer took the keys, locked the truck and left, he said.

Poplarville Police put Palanstea in the pokie pending proof of purported pilfering.
Yeah... seems like that is all that matters in public schools these days. Can’t risk hurting poor Palanstea’s self-esteem.
And I would not be at all surprised if some such defense is mounted in this case.
But if he actually does make it into the prison system, there will be at least one body orifice that gets hurt worse than his self-esteem.
Don't confuse him with his cousin Placenta Williams.
Disfunctionality in NOLA? Who knew?
Oy.
Where’s the picture of the bloodhound saying “Do not want”?
However, I am posting the moderator about the carbon footprint you wasted to turn a serious discussion of disaffected youths into some sort of punning program.
Ya got that, pal?
They were robbing diners? It’s a good thing they didn’t run into Samual Jackson!
