I watched this on EWTN. It was heartening! Do you know about how many folks were there?

Dang, can we say “The hour has PASSED” instead of “PAST”. I know this sounds stupid, but smart people should be able to spell, especially on a poster.

This is awesome. I would love to go one day—maybe next year.

My teens went but I stayed home with my 2yo. I think she’s still a little young to be out in the cold all day. I watched alot of it on EWTN but it’s just not the same. Praying we can all make it next year.

I never got close to the FREEPER side of the ellipse. My parish group rolled in in a UVA bus and hung around trying to figure out what the speakers were saying, while a bunch of guys from the Dominican House of Study dropped by. I did see the Lutheran sign in one of the photos. We are already planning a Lay Dominicans for Life banner for next year.

I have never in my life seen so many people.

Personally, I don't think the pollies give a tinker's damn. Those who are with us are as encouraged as we were. those who are against life remain so.

But maybe one or two people seeing not only American Christians of various kinds and foreigners but also the Jewish groups and even an atheist (as he proclaimed on his sign) maybe one or two will be opened up to the truth and maybe one or two babies who might otherwise have been slain will instead be brought to term.

That'd be a good day's work, right?

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses,
But we will trust in the LORD our God.

And yes, while I was delighted and amazed at the number of Catholic Bishops who were there, I do think it's time to kick butt and take names. Certainly, should FOCA pass, it will be past time.

This tired old guy is going to bed. May our prayers be joined with those of Dominic, Catherine of Siena, Thomas Aquinas, and especially Our Lady and brought to God through the intercession of the Lord of Life, may stony hearts be turned into hearts of flesh, and may the innocents be allowed to live.

AP claims only "3 blocks" of marchers.

Interesting today, Obama wants the USA to stop torturing people that want to kill us and have killed our citizens, but has no problem signing an order to kill our children. Shocking!

AP claims only "3 blocks" of marchers.

True for all values of "block" such that "block" is equal to or greater than "small city."

Wait. I just had a thought. You don't think that, just possibly, AP might have had an agenda, do you?

NO! What am I thinking? I mean the other day Helen Thomas assured us that no one has EVER accused her of bias. And the AP is, well, just, you know, the gold standard of objectivity and reliability.

A friend says, "Trust in the Lord, sit back, and let the newsies overplay their hand. Their day will come."

Surely it is God who saves me,
I will trust in Him and not be afraid.
For the Lord is our stronghold and our sure defense
and He will be our savior.
One of the awesomest signs there was one that said words to the effect of:
Oh, Abortion Doctor,

When you die, do not look for family or loved ones to meet you. Instead you will be met by the last baby you killed, who will ask you, "Why?"

I probably didn't get the words right, but it was something like that and it leads me to pray more fervently for those in the baby-killing business. How great their sorrow already is and how deeply has death entered into their hearts!

Oops, Dawg getting portentous and pompous. ....

I HOPE you won't HAVE to. I hope none of will.
