Special Report: March for Life – It’s a New Day

From the very beginning this was a different march. For the past eight years those who gathered for the opening program heard words of support from the President of the United States, encouraging them to continue their work on behalf of the unborn. This year, though he was invited, President Obama did not send recorded greetings or acknowledge the March in any way.

He did, however, issue a statement that galvanized his position on the issue. "On the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we are reminded that this decision not only protects women’s health and reproductive freedom, but stands for a broader principle: that government should not intrude on our most private family matters," said the president. "I remain committed to protecting a woman’s right to choose."

Words from the White House and from the 2009 March for Life confirmed the chasm that exists between those who are giving a voice to the unborn and our new Chief Executive. It's a new day in the cause for Life.

It’s going to be uphill for us now, but we cannot give up. There is to much at stake. Never give up. In the darkest hour God delivers. Keep your faith and never give up.

I remain deeply embarassed that 54% of my fellow Catholics (at least in name) voted for this morally bamnkrupt muslim con man.

Waiting for crowd estimates but I’m hearing this was the largest crowd ever (from a 15+ year participant)

Yes, I watched EWTN too and indeed it was hopeful. Fr. Euteneuer from HLI, one of my all-time favorite priests, suggested prayer and fasting and protesting. His article is very good as usual. Here is the link:

I,too, am waiting for the crowd estimates. It sure seemed a lot larger than the inaugural crowd. You know, the one that showed how much the people loved Obamanation. That drew lots of tv anchor/anchoretts to swoon over the shear numbers. The March for Life just drew yawns from these same “whitened sepculars”.

Can I kill my aged, senile mother-in-law? That’s also a personal, family decision.
