No slur intended on any other veterans. I agree there were plenty in every war including the revolution, Spanish American War, Korea, Viet Nam, and the current war against terrorism.

Still if I had to pick one generation it would be either WWII or the War Between the States. If you don’t agree fine. I honor them all.

dium to low volume pinglist. SONOBUOY PING!

Click on pic for past Navair pings.

Post or FReepmail me if you wish to be enlisted in or discharged from the Navair Pinglist.
The only requirement for inclusion in the Navair Pinglist is an interest in Naval Aviation.
This is a medium to low volume pinglist.

Lastly, thank you zot, for posting:o)

You're welcome. Someone sent me the link to his obituary, and I had already collected some information about him, so I felt it was my duty to post it. His funeral was today, 23 January 2009, in California.

That is certainly an honorable place and worthy of a visit...

But there is no offence intended at all to those who have earned this honor, when I feel I am personally not worthy at all to walk in the midst of those honorable names in places like this...

I believe I understand that sentiment. It is a humbling experience...
