"I don't think she represents most New Yorkers on gun-control issues," Hilly said Wednesday.

Yet another person who thinks that elitists from Manhattan speak for the entire state.

New York needs MORE Second Amendment friendly legislators, not fewer.

The socialists are coming...

``I don't think she represents most New Yorkers Manhattan liberals on gun-control issues,'' Hilly said Wednesday.

There, fixed it.

Oh Good this could be wonderful. We need all the help we can get espically in the Senate. However, with Snowe, Collins and sometimes McCain we will probably lose in the Senate. It will be the repubs and the blue dogs that will have to save the day in the house.

A pro-gun Democrat is just what is needed. He wasn’t going to appoint a republican,so this is the best we can hope for.A lot of NY republicans really suck on gun issues anyway-remember that little scumsucker Bloomberg was a Republican.

The DailyKos maniacs are going ballistic today, because not only is Gillibrand pro-gun, but her family is steeped in defense contracting and oil money. so she has been enriched by the "Bush war machine". Great fun.

Some facts...

Gillibrand is Polly Noonan Rutnik's granddaughter and Erastus Corning left his money to Noonan. [You don't even want to know the story behind that]

Banking titans and railroads. Albany Bank.

"British in-laws. ... the Gillibrands are the senior share holders and chairs to BAE and AMEC - the largest defense contractors and oil and gas pipeline builders in the world. AMEC currently holds over $2b (yes that is a B for billion) in rebuild contracts in IRAQ."

Her father is an Albany lobbyist.

The BIG untold story here is that Gillibrand is part of the CLINTON NETWORK (Bill personally campaigned for her and Hil raised millions for her). This was 100% engineered by Hillary and Bill to embarrass the Kennedys for endorsing Obama. Ted will be dead within the year, and Hillary is the one with the clout. Paterson isn't that stupid to know that with Uncle Ted in the ground, Caroline wouldn't be able to do shit for NY or, more importantly, for his election.

However, Gillibrand, a strong supporter of Second Amendment rights, is still on the radar screen, and that worries Jackie Hilly, NYAGV's executive director.

``I don't think she represents most New Yorkers on gun-control issues,'' Hilly said Wednesday.

This is one of my pet peeves about the US Senate (thanks to the 17th Amendment). *Technically* I agree with Hilly - Senators SHOULD represent the interests of 'their state'. BUT how many #%$&ing times have we heard junk like this from senators

'The people of The United States want us to do ...'(whatever)
Or....
'speaking on behalf of the American People'.

Fat@ss Teddy was good for this. So was Jon Corzine (that guy is really a major league moron). And Juan McInsane does this all the time too, along with his butt-boy Lindsey. And Hairy Reed (sic) is another one great for this. 'Heck' thay are ALL guilty of this.

But dammit you mopes DON'T 'speak for me'. You 'speak' for your state and the ijits that elected you - period. Now... if senators DO want to "speak on behalf of 'The American People'", then the 17th Amendment needs to be repealed. AND a new Amendment passed where senators are elected in a Nationwide election. (hmmm, I wonder how Schumer would do in Idaho?

I'm suuuuuuuuure they'd all go for this in a minute since they want to "represent the American people as a whole".

Anywho, IF senators DID represent their state, Hilly would have a good argument point. But since once they are in, they don't, she doesn't.
