President Obama has signed an executive order to close the U.S. prison at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base. Pennsylvania Rep. Jack Murtha (D) has already said he would be willing to house prisoners from Guantanamo Bay in his congressional district.......

I’m at work, but I am looking forward to PXI’s 11p newscast tonite to see ruddy faced, mumbling .urtha pontificating on ‘why’ this should happen.
Since I live in San Digo and also have relatives based at Pendleton I don’t care for the comment.
Wonder how those Pennsylvanians who voted to keep Murtha in the house feel now?
Rep. John Murtha said he would have no qualms about transferring Guantanamo detainees to a prison in his Pa. district. Do you agree with him?

If I had help digging the holes.
Murtha only has a minimum security prison in his district. But he says hed have no reservations about holding detainees there in a maximum security prison.
Sure, Id take em, said Murtha, an outspoken critic of the Iraq war. Theyre no more dangerous in my district than in Guantanamo.
What makes this so reprehensible is that Shanksville had been in Murthas district on 9/11. Shanksville is the last resting place of United 93, the flight where Americans fought back and saved many more lives by forcing the al-Qaeda terrorists to fly the jet into the ground where no one else could get hurt. Now Murtha wants to house the terrorists nearby, among the people of that area.

Somewhwere right now Bill Russell is laughing his a$$ off (and no doubt thinking of selling his Johnstown house).
I think they should close the Capitol Hill gym and house the terrorists there. Let the overflow live in Blair House.
Good idea.
They should also earn their keep as, oh, I dunno, congressional aids, body guards for Malia And Sasha, or whatever.
My initial reaction is "not near my home!" But now that I have had time to stand back and look at it, I think central Mississippi would be an ideal location.
Of course there are a couple of stipluations:
-The facility will have to be built by the lowest bidder to save cost.
-Minimium use of fencing, no razor wire (too easy inhumane) and few guards as possible, again to reduce cost to taxpayers.
-Immediate text messaging, email and media notification to citizens and law enforcement with in 75 miles if there is an escape.
- All detainees must wear bright red identifying jumpsuits, preferably with some form of concentric circular symbol front and back... -

*real life training*
The over 40,000 Marines based at Pendleton in San Diego not only are of the highest training but have served 3 to 5 or more tours in Iraq and Afgh already,
They were the first Marines to go into Bagdad and have
been in the most major battles.
A Relative of mine at Pendleton who has served three tours leaving in weeks for Afgh.
Who issues an Executive Order to close a military prison that holds known terrorists, without having a plan in place to do just that? By Bambi’s admission today, he said that no such procedural plan had yet been formulated. That’s kind of like declaring war, and not having an invasion plan. The Dems are always so intent on exit strategies, so what is your exit strategy for Gitmo President Obama? HUH?????
PA is me (Eastern part) But I don’t take prisoners, if you catch my drift.
“Pennsylvania Rep. Jack Murtha (D) has already said he would be willing to house prisoners from Guantanamo Bay in his congressional district.......”
As I said on another thread....”so he can register them to vote, to insure his reelection.
Well, in a way I wouldn't mind it. Having retired five years ago from the NY State prison system, I could use a reason to shake the dust off my nightstick ;-P
Results so far of that poll:

I can’t believe that there’s that many total idiots in this country.
The muzzies must be spamming the poll.
