I propose a name for this first of thousands of daily Obama scandals, which will tire America of his failed administration:
“Bible-gate”.
I believe Teddy Roosevelt took the oath without a bible but I can’t be sure without some digging.
The man is a usurper, and for no other reason than that the Supreme Court made him so bu refusing hearing to any challenge to his credentials. It may be his birth is as he said, it may be that the proper interpretation of the Constitutional requirement of "natural born citizen" would include birth overseas when only parent is a citizen. It may be that a adult swearing to renounce US citizenship so as to gain the passport and exchange-student admissions status of an Indonesian does not change his status under the Constitution. But those challenges where never heard, and they are legitimate challenges.
By refusing a hearing -- any hearing whatsoever -- the Supreme Court has not only effected a major miscarriage of law, but they -- by themselves -- have made this Presidency a Usurper Presidency. Barry Soetoro, the 44th President and the 1st Usurper President.
Chief Justice Roberts. Judge, please correct this terrible situation, and let those challenges have a honest, complete hearing.

Actually, he did sign a typed statement of the oath in front of witnesses, right after the ceremony. Apparently this has been done for some time, I guess to provide a written record of the oath.
It is interesting how even now that Obama is President, the Washington Post is still a bitter newspaper looking to trash people for no reason — “After flubbing his one role on Inauguration Day — administering the oath of office to Obama — Roberts traveled to the White House to re-administer the oath.”
I guess Obama wasn’t quite the change we needed.

Interesting and I guess that would provide for an official record for the archives, etc. I’d never heard of that being done before but makes sense. Do you have a link to anything stating he signed a typewritten version? I suspect that was photographed as well.

I couldn’t find any links to any news reports saying he signed anything.
It was in the discussion at the constitution law site, but just a comment that a reader had “informed” them, not a link to any official news.
I’m guessing it just isn’t “newsworthy”, but I probably will look into this more to see, because it is interesting to me now.

Thanks..... I looked a little bit but couldn’t find anything on any of the presidents signing a paper copy. I would think it would be that they did for record purposes. I like you was interested once you mentioned it. If I find anything I’ll ping you.
Obama is also not the first President to have a cult of personality: George Washington was all but deified in his day, though this was apparently spontaneous among the people and received no encouragement from him.
If it becomes illegal to criticize Obama, this will also have a precedent in the Sedition Act of 1798, which made it illegal to criticize President John Adams.
Number of Presidents who were supposedly going to be the death of the country--several: Jefferson, Jackson, Van Buren, Lincoln, and probably every other President who had an opponent (ie, every President other than Washington).
Of course, this doesn't mean that a President couldn't actually bring about the end of the country. Let's pray Obama doesn't end it!

He is corrected by George but the truth is out in Obama’s words. Also, Obama gave one of his daughters a muslim name. He doesn’t fool me. He doesn’t own a bible.
It is fine that he is Muslim but the deceit is the KEY to his character. No bible in the second swearing in. What does that confirm? He is not a Christian. Sorry Obama you are a fraud!!! I don’t care what religion he is, I care that he continues to lie and get away with it.
