ME screaming for up-armor?
What does that have to do with anything....?
The fact remains that Bush & Co.used the WORST case scenario to justify the immediacy of the invasion in 2003..and the ROSIEST case scenario for everything that would follow afterwards.
In essence they jumped into the pool without checking the water.....and we were therefore on the learning curve for the next 4-5 years ..taking caualties needlessly....
I put this question to an Army officer stationed at Ft.Belvoir I met at a bar in Crystal City Arlington
one night in the fall of 2007 ..and he informed me that my assessment was correct.
Yeah you. You’re a typical lib, who’s always right, AFTER the fact.
Enjoy your Kool-Aid, you can even have my share.
DON'T ASK, DON'T TELL.
..and he informed me that my assessment was correct.
You just told.
Are you offended that Bush enacted the national policy that Clinton called for in 1998??
Regieme change in Iraq??
Put it to somebody who's been working in various capacities in Operaation Iraqi Freedom for over five years and you might hear that your assessment is NOT correct.
So you met a guy in a bar who said he was an Army officer? Any proof he was who he said he was? Maybe he was drunk, or maybe you were too....who knows....but it’s anecdotal at best so it’s good for nothing.
So you'd rather Saddam, Russia, Iran, Venezuela and Co. had been allowed to replace the petrodollar with the petroeuro and destroy the dollar by doing so?
You'd rather have the housing bubble be imploding on top of the externally directed hard landing of the dollar?
Bush did the right thing in Iraq. Maybe he could have done a better job articulating the economic motivations of the action - but nonetheless our national interest was, and IS, being served by our military presence there.
