From a "shining city on a hill" to false "hope".

How did it come to this?

And who will be our horse and rider in 2012?

“And who will be our horse and rider in 2012?”

You already know the answer to that.

It will be whomever the RINOs and Dem crossover voters in New Hampshire want it to be.

Make all GOP primaries CLOSED primaries, and then you can actually get a conservative nominated.

Perhaps one of The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

I wonder which of those four would win in a horse race. Eight furlongs, good conditions.

Complex issue you raise. Not one factor, but in my opinion, the largest contributing factor:

We, (conservatives), abandoned the public schools years ago. The leftists were unchecked. While we sent our kids to parochial schools, or home schooled, the left was free to set the public school agenda. No more 3 R’s, the public schools were filled with PC, with teaching Johnny self esteem, even if undeserved. We taught Susie all girls were better than Johnny, (and taught Johnny the same thing).

Result: 3+ generations of mush heads.

Our rider in 2012? I’m afraid Obama will steam roll to another term aided by a fawning MSM.

Revelation chapter 6: 1 to 8 - 'The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse'

Question: "Who are the four horsemen of the apocalypse?"

Answer: The four horsemen of the apocalypse are described in Revelation chapter 6, verses 1-8. The four horsemen are symbolic descriptions of different events which will take place in the end times. The first horseman of the apocalypse is mentioned in Revelation 6:2, "I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest." This first horseman likely refers to the antichrist, who will be given authority and will conquer all who oppose him. The antichrist is the false imitator of the true Christ, as He will return on a white horse (Revelation 19:11-16).

The second horseman of the apocalypse is spoken of in Revelation 6:4, "Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword." The second horseman refers to terrible warfare that will break out in the end times.

The third horseman is described in Revelation 6:5-6, “...and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, ‘A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!’” The third horseman of the apocalypse refers to a great famine that will take place, likely as a result of the wars from the second horseman. Food will be scarce, but luxuries such as wine and oil will still be readily available.

The fourth horseman is mentioned in Revelation 6:8, "I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth." The fourth horseman of the apocalypse is symbolic of death and devastation. It seems to be a combination of the previous horsemen. The fourth horseman of the apocalypse will bring further warfare and terrible famines along with awful plagues and diseases. What is most amazing, or perhaps terrifying, is that the four horsemen of the apocalypse are just "precursors" of even worse judgments that come later in the Tribulation (Revelation chapters 8-9 and 16).

I couldn't agree more, only registered Republicans should be able to vote on who the Republican party nominates (the same should hold true for Democrats as well).

You will be.

You will go out into your community and reteach that liberty and individual rights are what this country needs. You will relight the torch in the minds of the people you meet.

You will work with the government to rescind anti-American laws and restore Constitutionality to what it does.

When the next election comes, the people will vote for freedom again.

Ha! Well, if it were raining I'd guess Stuhldreher. He was a mudder.

The hard part is finding jockeys to ride the guys. And God help 'em if they go to the whip....

Hey DC, I’ve been reading FR since 2000 or so. Just not registered. I’ve also seen vanity posts generate good discussion on many topics. If you have something to contribute to further positive discussion, please do so.
