Let me explain again the origin of Ci-cago.
Many years ago, as an undergraduate at Northwestern I had a wonderful Italian professor, Luigi Rossi, a WWII vet.
He would make a joke by combining “ci,” meaning “here” in English with the first person singular of “cagare,” which is Italian slang for, to put it elegantly, “to crap” and make a joke about the political environment we were in there.
