I would second that, if not for the fact that New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut have been subsidizing the rest of the country (including the South) for almost a century. We give considerably more than we get back from the Feds.

LOL. The federal revenue from blue states in nearly 3 times that of the federal revenue from red states.

Blue $1,975,116,492,000.00
Red $695,342,860,000.00

Federal revenue came from IRS by way of wikipedia (won't apologize for its use in reporting hard data)
