Commuted, not pardoned. They’re still convicts but it’s better than nothing.

That's right... I'll take it. Ramos and Campion will be out of prison.

THANK YOU, PRESIDENT BUSH!!! (Although he should've done this immediately)

Agreed. And the President is reported to “still believe they got a fair trial and it was a serious crime”. Hmm, I wonder when we CONSERVATIVES might have a presidential candidate???

Right, a pardon is what Clinton and Obama's pick for Attorney General, Eric Holder, gave to members of the communist-revolutionary terrorist groups FALN and Weather Underground when Bubba left office.

I heard one of their wives on the radio, and they wanted commutations, not pardons. They said accepting a pardon would have been an admission of guilt, and they still plan on fighting the conviction.

Agreed. At least they can be with their families.

Commuted is probably better than pardoned in some respects. Both have filed appeals. They can get out of jail and hopefully overturn their convictions.

IMHO, they did not deserve a pardon. They did not deserve to be locked up for 10 years, either. By simply comuting their sentences, Bush got it about right.
