Mr.FF says his grandmother always used the Hungarian pronunciation of the town, not even in German. According to the family she spoke 7 languages, including Yiddish even though she was not Jewish. It was the location of where she was born that people understood many languages.

How neat! I love languages, and am always amazed when people know so many fluently. I bet that his family has all sorts interesting stories.
