Starbucks Coffee wants U.S. consumers to jump on president-elect Barack Obama’s volunteer bandwagon and pledge to join one of his community service corps.
Obama and incoming first lady Michelle Obama want Americans to do community service the week of his inauguration Jan. 20. and commit this year to one of his so-called national service corps that will do volunteer work in schools and related to the environment.
Starbucks said it will offer free “tall” coffee beginning Wednesday through Sunday for customers who fill out community service pledge cards at the coffee chain’s locations.

I discovered Intelligentsia coffee in a little coffee shop in Indian Rocks Beach, FL. It is fantastic and they don't believe in "full city" roasts on mild beans.

Do they still teach it in school? I had to teach it to my second and third grade Cub Scouts.

They are going to have a hard time selling $5.00 cups of coffee in this economy.

Yet another reason why I refuse tospend one thin red dime at a Starbucks establishment.
Starbucks; I know of 56 million Americans who aren’t buying it.
And, let me guess, they will get a double valued tax deduction next April.

Always WAWA. Although I do wish they would bring back the Irish creme flavored coffee, almost like putting a bit of Bailey’s in the cup.
My belief is that if you need to add flavor to the coffee, then it probably is not that good to begin with.
Isn’t this discriminatory? Ya know like, isn’t this America and if we don’t support certain causes they are alienating others and not being tolerant to those who don’t support the same causes?

Not that I’m a regular, but Starphucks can now be assured that I won’t buy anything from any of their franchisees while at the airport or anywhere else.
For business meetings, IHOP makes better coffee and lots better food.
