I’m blessed to own 280 acres in central Wisconsin. I’m going to spend some quality time this summer with my Amish neighbors, getting to know them better and having them teach me how to can food.
We have plans. If it looks like he is going to accomplish what he wants to, we are leaving. It’s a done deal. Not to say that we won’t come back, but we have an out that we will take.
It is very doubtful that the GOP could overcome its 75 seat deficit in the House. The GOP has too many “country club” types. RINOs. They are also not willing to fight for anything. The Libertarians are correct about a lot of things but are not a viable third party. The Constitution Party could well be viable if they were not so far to the right socially, in some cases.
In the long term I believe the US will move toward a big brother state where the environment, security and safety are used to confiscate private property and control people.
It has always been my belief that the elites want us little people penned up in the cities working long hours and paying high taxes.

Look on the bright side! ...can’t help but wonder if President Bush planned the deficits and economic problems to come. They won’t leave much in the way of revenues for Democrats or our local social “progressives” to do much damage with. The witches will be too busy with trying to survive.
I will continue working on my remote place throughout the deflationary period. ....then happily watching the dollar, anti-family bureaucrats and worthless, anti-family businesses fall, while the prices of freight fuel and foreign products go up. The globalist, bureaucrat and family-busting follies are coming to an end, and the gnarly, old hippie feminists are going to the nursing homes.

The biggest change that I see for our family is that it makes it far more likely we will be doing homeschooling. Our twins are not quite two yet, but I am looking ahead, and I will not have that cant dinned into their ears for 12 years. Their middle names are those of two of our greatest patriots (Washington and Franklin) and I will do my best to teach them the true history of this country, and to love freedom and truth.
As for Tuesday morning, my boys and I will not be glued to the TV. We’ll be going to a playdate instead — far more useful and inspiring. So there! ;)

My plans are to enjoy what I have( because the government wants to take it and give it so someone else). Get to know God better(that is number one). The rest is to hunker down and see what happens.
At the risk of sounding like a goody-goody, I’ll say that my main goals will have to do with how I treat others rather than material provision for hard times. To care less about money, to become more generous when things get tough for others. And I mean to keep this separate from any Obama program.
