Spot on!
I’ll catch you later - going to bed soon. Lot’s to say . . .
good for you...I joined my county committee...not a lot of action there...I’ve been thinking about setting up a “bill watch” website in my Demonrat dominated state (the once proud Republican State o’ Maine)...the Pee-pol keep reelecting the ‘rats who mostly vote against their interests...and the Pee-pol don’t have a clue...
Good idea - the data base might be useful for another contender somewhere, sometime.
Toilet paper. I’m buying tons of toilet paper. And beans. Lots of beans. And I’m turning the tv set off. And I’m investing in more lead - if I can find any...
I’m blessed to own 280 acres in central Wisconsin. I’m going to spend some quality time this summer with my Amish neighbors, getting to know them better and having them teach me how to can food.
We have plans. If it looks like he is going to accomplish what he wants to, we are leaving. It’s a done deal. Not to say that we won’t come back, but we have an out that we will take.
I doubt anyone would pester me about a produce stand. I purposely chose this very conservative place to live. It’s rare in MN, believe me. It’s part of a big developement, though my friends and their girls across the street sold apples last fall with no problem.
Consider yourself added to the Gardening list.
Even without space or much sun, you can grow a bunch of stuff. Not a year’s worth, but enough to do a major supplement to the freezer/pantry/dinner plate!!!!
I’m working on the first of the “garden” threads of the year. Things got rough here (IRL) last year and I just couldn’t keep doing the weekly thread I did. I’m not promising a weekly thread, but will do at least a monthly one.
I think we’re all going to need it -— if you get my drift ;)
I was born in 55. Grew up in a small town. Grandparents lived on farms so i was exposed to the rural lifestyle and I really appreciate that experience because I learned to be self sufficient in many ways.
My sons are my life now, all grown. Not sure where i am going in life at this point coming off a 8 yr marriage that fell apart when we discovered our goals weren’t the same anymore....long story I won’t dwell on.
So now flexibility and debt reduction are my goals and I really have no plans other than trying to stay as near to my aging folks as practical given the job situation......
Don’t do much good to plan long term cause it rarely works out so anyhow....
Costa Rica?
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Not a good choice.
My husband and I spent 6 months living in Costa Rica while attending language school. We were there during their vote on the free trade agreement with the U.S.
The TLC ( the free trade agreement) won narrowly. I read the newspapers and watched the TV daily. The opposition to the TLC was ( and continues to be) **heavily** Marxist infiltrated and influenced.
It is evident to me that Costa Rica could easily become another Bolivia, Nicaragua, or Venezuela in any election. The population is deeply divided between the Marxists and the capitalists and the margin is very close.
Anyone who buys property in Costa Rica, is, in my opinion, a complete **idiot**!!!
You remind me to send some email to Fox news, and rthe rest of the cable news channels (even though I do not watch them) that I have discovered the movie channels, because I do not care to watch all the “Obama suck-up” coverage.
If enough of us do the same, maybe they will get the message?
There are always on-line classics to read or listen to via Audible.com.
While the “historic” train ride was “happening” yesterday, I watched Braveheart and wondered if there were any in our midst that would die for freedom.
Somehow, I don’t think so, for we are still lingering in the twilight of our hope. But, when it gets dark enough, I pray a William Wallace will come to the surface.
For, when we lose our freedom, everything else is also lost.
But so many RINOs are just like those schemers in Scotland, hoping for titles, castles, and lands, granted by the “king”. Selling their very souls for a mess of patronage.
“I’m an American. Therefore whomever temporarily occupies the White House has little if any affect on me.
Roger that. I imagine very little will change in my life the next four years. I’ll get up, go to work and put in a full day’s honest labor. I’ll spend my time off with my friends and family. If I need something, I’ll buy it. If I don’t, I won’t. Pretty much the way I’ve been living my life the last four years.”
Good comments. I’ll also be praying for our country, and turning off the TV. Just use sources like FR for information. My ancestors were here even before the American Revolution and fought in every war. I am sickened by what is happening to my country....

Learn about the European Neighbourhood Program. It is a 7 year agreement that runs from the beginning of 2007 to the end of 2013.
We may well be 2+ years into the last 7.
Blessings to you and yours.
11. Stay armed.
12. Be vigilant always.
>>we’ll do the same while giving the parasites as close to nothing to sustain themselves as possible.<<
Right on!
I look forward to hearing from you.
BE SAFE.

Agreed. We need a leader - not a schmuck that tailors his ‘core values’ or ‘image’ to the time at hand. These clowns are poison.
The Missouri Ozarks are good for your ideas. I live on the northern edge but wouldn’t mind moving about 100 miles south.
