Thousands were descending on the National Mall in Washington on Sunday afternoon, hours before a free inaugural concert boasting big stars.
It is President-elect Barack Obama's first full day back in the nation's capital. He spent the morning visiting Arlington National Cemetery and will later attend the "We are One: Opening Inaugural Celebration" at the Lincoln Memorial featuring performances by Beyonce, Sheryl Crow, John Legend, Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, U2, will.i.am and Stevie Wonder.
Tears rolled down one woman's face as Obama spoke. "We love you, Obama!" someone yelled out.
"I love you back," Obama answered calmly, eliciting a roar from the crowd.
"You know the country is in the middle of a honeymoon when 6 in 10 Republicans have a positive view of Obama," said CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

“Before long, we might see Obama statues in public squares...”
It’s already happening...

I was thinking the same thing until I realized that I have a picture of Ronald Reagan hanging on my wall in my home office.
His visage is looking upon me as I type this.
I live in Penna, and the weather here is in the 20's with snow showers. You'd think those people must be freezing, but I guess they're so full of 'hope' about all the 'change' that will be coming that they don't seem to notice the weather.
“Wait until the brownshirts get rolling”
Brownshirts = ACORN
He has his ACORN troops ready in every city, hamlet, village, and town in the USA.
Lock and load!
“Its already happening...”
Lovely (sarc)! Well, now that they’ve also desecrated the Lincoln Memorial, are they going to build an “Obama Memorial” right next to it?
You know, "At last, my love has come along."
I can't watch. Is it an orgy yet?
I could have spit on our TV when Marissa Tomai or however you spell that had the nerve to quote President Reagan. To even compare this current Jackal to such a great man like Reagan is an insult. Although I’ve also learned today that we are all now one. So I’m guessing the idea of us all being one really means I will be handing over my hard earned money to some lazy fool. If thats being one I think I’ll pass. God help us all. If we make it these next 4 years it’s going to be a miracle.
6 in 10 rinos....
Hence my tagline paraphrasing The Gipper.
I am certain I got from here on FR.
It’s the truth, eh?
“had the nerve to quote President Reagan”
WHAT????? How DARE they invoke Reagan, when they stand against everything he stood for! The desecration of our country, our heritage and our principles continues.
I agree with you, God help us all! I hope and pray we make it through these next 4 years of tyranny.
What were people thinking when they voted for this socialist madman???
The Jackal also mentioned he’s full of hope as well but then ironically and right on cue he never mentioned what he is hopeful for and as for any change he never said what that change would be. Although jamie fox said the change was as simple as him being black so there you are america your change is skin color in the oval office. Enjoy that for the next 4 years cause thats all your getting. I swear this has to be a huge nightmare and eventually we are going to wake up.
“eventually we are going to wake up.”
Is it 2012, yet???? lol
Sarah Palin, where are you????
"Actress Marisa Tomei walks during the We Are One: Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial."
“One blob of mindless followers...the Jim Jones dupes.....”
You are not far off with that analogy. They had many TV specials about the Jonestown massacre on it’s anniversary and I remember watching and thinking how much this man’s actions reminded me of Obama. Further research shows that as a child, he read works by Marx, Stalin and Hitler and became a member of the Communist Party.

Well, then, I guess you aren't going to make it.
