I am not afraid of flying, but looked up some numbers leading to per chance of a recurrence.:
"There are more than million Canada geese in the MVP, with about 100,000 - 200,000 stopping at Horicon Marsh each fall. Flocks select a wetland area and stay near there for 6-10 weeks to refuel and rest during their long journey. While there, they eat grass and grain. Each goose eats about ½ lb. of food per day. That's a lot of food! If goose populations were not controlled by a hunting season each year, they would eat themselves out of house and home.
