Do you not like the fmaily owned restaurants?
my view
I hated cheesecake and other big chain restaurants. much prefer the family owned restaurants.
Except cracker barrel which I like, decent price, and decent homestyle food
I found in the cheesecake a certain amount of people who were elitist yuppies.
IMHO the food was terrible, the food was so out of price, way over priced actually , the whole atmosphere just didn’t sit well with me.
many of the people wearing designer clothes and it seemed they wanted to make a statement of look at me etc.
Of course I have only ever been to one so maybe others are much different like the one you went to and doesn’t have a yuppie clientele but for me I’ll take the family owned places anytime.
I got the chicken which was very thin and swimming in some horrible sauce, I could taste that sauce for hours but couldn’t taste the chicken of which I had ordered.
I think I’ll never go to another one again.
Cracker barrel 7$ and much nicer food along with the surroundings of the place
Have you ever been to Boston?
If you have or might then the north end is the best place I have ever eaten, just restaurant after restaurant of family owned Italians
the last post I wrote to you was meant of no disrespect to you, just wanted to clear that up.
I’m more of a dunkin man then Starbucks
cracker barrel than cheesecake
etc
etc
etc
I probably just had a bad visit to the cheesecake and yes the place I went to was a place known for many elitist yuppies to visit and do their shopping

I prefer family or chef owned and operated restaurants.
I have never really been to the Chain restaurants like Olive Garden, Red Lobster etc, because here in NY they are very few and far between.
There are literally thousands of restaurants in NYC of every kind, every price range and type of cuisine. We have many local small Italian resyaurants where the food is excellent, and actually cheaper than chains such as Olive Garden.
I love the idea of really good food , family owned and operated restaurants, at reasonablw prices.
I did enjoy my lunch at Cheescake Factory in Baltimore. Perhaps it was the great location with a view of the Inner Harbor that made it memorable. I don’t really remember what I ate. Baltimore is a surprising spot for good restaurants, anything and everything with Crab, which is local, plentiful, and cheap.
We also have Italian restaurants like Mario Batali’s Babbo, which is outstanding, really superb, and in the middle price range. His other restaurant, Del Posto is booked up three months in advance and is around $150 + per person.
