The real problem with staying home .. ALL THOSE GOOD REPUBS WHO WERE RUNNING FOR HOUSE AND SENATE SEATS WERE DENIED YOUR VOTE - THEREFORE - YOU GAVE THE CONGRESS TO THE DEMOCRATS.I never stay home.
Besides voting for Senators and Representatives, I voted against multiple bond referendums for all sorts of local and state spending.

“Staying home” sometimes means not voting for the top of the ticket. Many skipped the top and voted some or all of the rest of the ballot.
