She left a great hole in my heart and life and for many months after her death which occurred during a difficult time for me as dad was in hospital in a broken elbow and hip.
Monday will be my last dose and I would echo your words and hope and pray that this thread will prove over the days, months and years to come that real and lasting friendships have been forged and will remain.
I also wish and I hope that others are prepared to help and participate in having a monthly thread running where news of the President and maybe others from his administration are updated as it becomes available.

What I meant to say about Gretchen was that she left and great hole in my life and heart and for many months I was desolute and I know if I had not had to cope with dad’s health problems probably would feel as heart broken and upset today as I was the day I found out of her passing.
She was one of the closest friends I have ever had and each day I would check with anticipation my email for a message from her.
I echo your feelings, snugs and jonny, about Gretchen ... so, so awful.
And it’s my sincere hope that a “Sanity Island” monthly thread can begin in a reasonable amount of time.
