Thank you for your information. I would like to have both of these radios checked out. I have been reluctant to just plow ahead and plug them in. I am in Mississippi and have no idea how or what orginization or individual to contact to have them checked out.

I know enough to not transmit on them without an antennea or load on them.

It's tough when you're not already involved in the local Ham community. Hams are a cross section of society so if you browse classified ads for techs, info, or whatever you're as likely to draw a flake as not. In my area there is a guy I have known forever who helps folks appraise and sell estate gear without being taken. There are people who do that in just about every area. Could maybe look on arrl.org for contact info for a local affiliate club to point you in the right direction.

If they are new and never been used the KWM-2 and power supply will fetch an outstanding price. I would list it on eHam (you can google eHam) and list it for $1500.00.

I wouldn't have anyone checking it out as not to disturb anything.

Rigs here are a Icom Pro III and a Yaesu MK V Field. I have a small Kenwood TS 480 by the bed and have a few shortwave frequencies programmed in.
