I keep envisioning that scene from Seinfeld where Newman interrogates Jerry for mail fraud. Jerry sits comfortably in a chair drinking a soda while Newman is sitting uncomfortably under the bright light.

The question is when Obama makes all this grand Change and we do get hit again, will the Republicans in Congress have the nerve to fault him....

Interesting that the reason George W. Bush’s war on terror policies are even being questioned is that the Republicans in Congress refused to back him up and laud him for enacting them.

The solmen duty in fact the only duty of the POTUS is to protect American citizens from the enemy. I guess thats really hard to do when the one protecting us is the one we need protection from.

I don’t believe it. They don’t care about the terrorists. They will quickly come to believe that their political and economic ends demand that they use “harsh” measures.

One of these guys they don’t interrogate and let go is going to be part of something bad. It cannot help 0 to enable terrorists.

I suppose they could be sent to the Saudis for interrogations.

I don’t say this glibly or with animus, but I believe we will be hit before the year is out. I believe it will be worse that 9/11. And, sadly I believe it won’t be Obama that is blamed, but it will be Bush. The MSM will not let Obama be damaged - they just won’t.

Barack Obama, perhaps in extraordinary naivete, but more likely in political pandering to the left, is endangering US interests at home and abroad, including the moonbats who helped elect him. I cannot believe he does not comprehend the emboldening impact of this action; closing Guantanamo Bay; and, proferring the abysmal choice of Leon Panetta to run CIA, will have on the muslim jihadis.

It’s different because when it’s done under the Obama administration, the MSM won’t be announcing it to the world.

From my intense investigation of Obama’s policies, it looks as if the “misunderstood personnel” (terrorists) will have to sit in a timeout. After said timeout if the “misunderstood” has a second infraction there will be a stern talking too and possibly a benching during recess without snack.

Director of CIA to President Obama, *Sir, the terrorist are going to blow up a major city tonight. We have a suspect in custody who can tell us who and where. What shall we do?

Obama to CIA Director, “ Read him his rights!”

Bush always erred on the side of Protecting America’s citizens from its enemies. Obama seems bent on reversing that and making his judgements by erring on the side that protects America’s enemies instead.

And the funny thing is that in doing this, Obama will not elevate America's reputation to even the slightest degree. Those who hate us will fear us less and mock us more, concluding that we're stupid, a "paper tiger." Those who esteem us will sleep less well at night. Not one single word of appreciation will be uttered outside our borders in appreciation of this gesture. The response will range from "long overdue" to "too little too late" to "a much needed downpayment on a total overhaul of America's aggressive posture of intimiation and strong-arm cowboy tactics."

This rule will not apply to conservatives. In our case, waterboarding will not be considered torture.

But the dems are kings and queens of senate and congressional special hearings that use harsh interrogations of US citizens. Are they planning on stopping?

"Any bets on how long it takes before we get hit again?"

Clinton got hit February 26th 1993 after taking office. Bush got hit September 11, 2001 after taking office. Obama I predict will be hit between Feb 26, 2009 to Sept 11, 2009.
