Other mistakes were inevitably made, and not merely that "Mission Accomplished" banner aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln.Everyone still points to this, and the President even mentioned it in his press conference last week, but it's my understanding that it was the Commander of the Lincoln who ordered that banner erected. He was pointing out that the mission of the Lincoln and sailors aboard had been accomplished, NOT the entire Iraq War.
