If terrorists in China find out they can receive assylum in the West, then it will only embolden them to wage war against the Chinese people.

As usual, we disagree. And fortunately for these Uighur rebels, Obama is unlikely to repatriate them to China. Uighurs are not our enemy. They were in Afghanistan because it was the only place they could receive training to overthrow the Chinese imperialists who massacred their ancestors and stole their land. Interestingly enough, East Turkistan (the land of the Uighurs) is probably the only Turkic land still involuntarily under the foreigner's boot.

I tend to judge by the fruit produced. If they are associating with our enemies and providing them succor and fighting alongside them, and adopting their style of surprise attacks against civilians, my sypmathy dies.

At one point in time I had sympathy for Chechnyans. But they blew that permanently by supporting our enemies and killing schoolchildren.

I try to support freedom fighters, but there is a line between that and terrorist.

Before I go any further, are you saying that everywhere else in the world where there are Turkic speaking people groups, they have their own independent country? You realize they exist in Russia and elsewhere throughout the Central Asian region don't you? I've never heard of a North or South or Central Turkistan? Please educate me.

In no way is it in the interest of the USA to even question the status of, much less condone, Uighyer terrorists, regardless of what you may think of the Chinese Govt.
