Not to jump on the side of this little socialist snot, but how many pres-elects have ever attended the farewell speeches of out going presidents? I’m sure they are few and far between.

It wasn't about attending. It's rare for anyone to attend a President's farewell speeches (Clinton's and Reagan's speeches were delivered alone to the camera).

The classy thing would be for Obama to stay in Blair House--where he can have anything he wants delivered, for crying out loud--instead of causing a media circus right across the street from the White House just as the President is making his speech.

Exactly. We know very little about who the real Obama is, but one thing we know with total clarity. He is a man who craves being the center of attention.
