Nearly three years ago, Brian Morgenstern was a college dropout more or less content with his job as an assistant manager at a Mount Laurel Circuit City. Then a man dropped off a videotape, asking that it be converted to DVD. Morgenstern's life hasn't been the same since. On the tape, he saw men firing rifles and shouting "Allah akbar," Arabic for "God is great." He found the images disturbing enough that he contacted local police, prompting an investigation that culminated in Monday's convictions of five Muslim immigrants from South Jersey on charges of plotting to kill U.S. soldiers.
Today, at 25, Morgenstern is back in college, working toward what he hopes will be a career in federal law enforcement. "Before this, I didn't really have a career path set in place, and this has allowed me to organize my priorities," Morgenstern said yesterday. "Absolutely, it's had a large impact on my life."
The Cherry Hill man, studying criminal justice and computer science at Rutgers University, said he would like to one day work for the FBI or the Drug Enforcement Administration. While he continues to work at a Circuit City, he's now hunting for an internship. Morgenstern said he had no idea what would happen when he turned the tape over to Mount Laurel police, who in turn contacted the FBI, in January 2006. He tried not to make judgments about what he saw, reasoning that the men might have been involved in nothing illegal.
"It was never my position to judge whether the information was serious," Morgenstern said. "That really was up to the authorities. My role was just to make them aware of what I had come into possession of." More than a year later, in May 2007, he was stunned to learn that six men, immigrants

Until the uncomfortable person sees or hears something on a plane, then the muslim’s sue along with the aclu.
i wouldn’t be surprised to see the aclu take on circuit city and make this guy’s life miserable.
If it were me I wouldn’t want them knowing my name or where I live.
When this story first broke (when the arrests were made) this guy’s name and city were mentioned. At the time I thought ‘why wasnt his name/locale confidential, and since he has been ‘outed’ will they put him in the Witness Protection program?’ I still don’t understand why he is still being mentioned and now even the locale of his school.
This poor twit is not the brightest bulb on the tree and I seriously question his judgement.
I just hope he will not be the subject of future news stories.
