I'm female and joined the Navy Reserves in late 1987. Creeped us all out to no end having 1 lesbian in our company. She was nice enough, wasn't in your face about her orientation, but it was uncomfortable being around her, especially in the showers.
After boot camp, in training school, there was a large group in our BEQ (barracks). Again, it was just weird having to share living space, bathroom space with girls who liked girls. It's the same as having a man around. No one liked it and there were the odd rumors about people walking into their rooms to find the roommate engaged in "activities" with her girlfried. Ewww

I’m sure I would feel the same way.

The Left soils every institution under its control. Education, media, government, science are all either in decline or its members are subject to stifling, radical political correctness.

The Left cannot outright ban our military forces. However, open faggotry in our armed forces will silently, slowly erode our military effectiveness.

I took karate as the only straight woman in a women’s dojo. I never had any problem or feelings of discomfort in the locker room or grappling situations. Never saw any hanky-panky. The other women treated the dojo with the respect it deserved. Now in a 24-7 situation like the military, I suppose there could be problems. But based on my experience, I wouldn’t object to serving with lesbians.

I’ll let men judge from their experience if there would be a problem serving with male homosexuals.

Then there is the whole issue of heterosexual male aggression directed at women, but the military seems to live with that.

Going LDO or CWO for bubbleheads meant they would never serve on a submarine again. So, they ended up on tenders and support ships, or become skimmers. I had a SWS/SS qualified CDR (LDO) tell me there were compartments on AS-xx he would not enter on a post-watch tour. Universally, these were female berthing. “Get accused of rape, or have to report queers. No thanks.” Glad I retired when I did.
