NYC's 8th annual No Pants! Subway Ride draws 1,200

No, it wasn't your imagination. Pants were in short supply along four lines of the New York City subway system on Saturday.

The No Pants! Subway Ride, organized by Improv Everywhere each January, is a chance for New Yorkers to ride the rails unencumbered by the burden of jeans, slacks or trousers.

This is what passes for entertainment in New York?

I guess if life consists of leaving your high-rise apartment for the same hour-long half mile train ride every day then just about anything seems fun by comparison.

That's about as far from the life of a regular New Yorker as it is possible to get. There are probably more entertainment options, both clean and tawdry, both culturally high and low, in NYC than most anywhere else in the country.
