Do you need Obama coverage 24 hours a day? In several markets, Comcast cable is launching an all-Obama, On Demand channel. (In D.C., it's channel 963).
Leading up to Inauguration, the channel will offer a number of Obama-related programs, according to a release: "Barack Obama’s most famous speeches to date, from his keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in 2004 through his election night victory speech in Grant Park; Barack Obama biography; Michelle Obama’s 2008 Democratic National Convention speech; a tour of the White House; and the history of Air Force One."

He has to keep hyping his minions. He has to be able to tell them how bad off they are, so he can then turn around and offer then hope, then get them to do his bidding. He is counting on them to help him get all the stuff he wants through congress etc.
We republicans go about doing our own thing, failing to organize. Trying to herd a bunch of republicans into a corral so they can act together effectively is like herding cats. The only thing we will end up doing together is going down together.

Some experts have stated that Obama uses NLP techniques (Neuro Linguistic Progamming) to ‘sell’ his ‘message’ via unethical means. NLP is also used by unethical lawyers, salespeople and carnival hypnotists - yes it really is a form of mental suggestion (hypnosis) that can powerfully influence some people. ANd this is why some people faint, cry, swoon etc. at his speeches while, to the rest of us, his speeches lack content or logic. I do wonder if that is why some otherwise respected media types (conservative) seemed to gush about him (i.e. Noonan?) For NLP to work, it requires a slow pace and repetition and that is what Obama is getting with his own channel. *shudder*
