We must regulate Bisexuality and Homosexuality as we do smoking and for the same exact reasons.
Hmmm... I’m curious as to how you propose to “regulate” bisexuality, and homosexuality. Perhaps an addition to their clothing ala a “pink” Star of David. Perhaps a national registry of people pertaining to their sex lives?
I’m also curious as to how you square Conservatism with these ideas that it is the government’s job to protect people from themselves.
A change in screen name seems like it may be appropriate for you, as it seems that what you are proposing here is anything BUT conservatism when it comes to the issue of government interference in the personal lives of its citizens.
While I find some of these issues personally at odds with my religious beliefs, and my personal morals, I am MORE afraid of the government prescribing beliefs to others in a legislative manner. If someone were to turn this around and say that Christians, for example, should be “regulated” because of the “harm” they supposedly cause to “non-Christians” I’m pretty sure you (rightly) would be up in arms and livid at the prospect of the government DARING to tell you how to live. There is a reason our forefathers brought forth the concept of LIBERTY and made it a building block of this nation. It was NOT to force beliefs on others, but rather allow people the FREEDOM to choose their beliefs.
You may not LIKE what other people choose to do with their lives, but it is not right to FORCE others to believe as you do, either. What is right is to educate others, and share with them the REASONS for your beliefs so that they hopefully will come to understand the righteousness behind them. Even GOD understands this concept and it is why he created human beings with FREE WILL.
