CNN) -- President-elect Barack Obama on Tuesday tried to persuade Senate Democrats to get behind his plan for the second half of the $700 billion bailout, warning he would veto a threatened disapproval resolution, according to senators who met with him.

veto a resolution? First time I've heard of that.
Typically the President vetos a bill that has passed the House and Senate.

When training horses, sometimes you have to crack the whip just to get their attention. I wonder how he would react to an override? He is to old to hold his breath til he turns blue. Then again......

You know, he missed his Legislator 101 class when he came to the Senate. He hit the campaign trail (the Obama magical mystery tour) before he even darkened the door of the Senate, so you have to forgive him his inability to understand the legislative process.
