A lot of Liberal comics really have no sense of humor at all. Samples of Liberal jokes I've heard in nightclubs:

"President Bush is a moron!"
"Can you believe Katrina?? And the man did nothing!"
"Hoo-boy, that Dick Cheney, huh?"

Now, that's 3 jokes right there and in front of the right audience, those can each get enormous laughs. But a comedian who makes a living with zingers like those may have a hard time if called upon to actually demonstrate wit.
