Here we go again.. I am starting to get torn on the usefulness of the subject of these interviews Sarah is granting in the big scheme of things. I am all for standing up and slamming the media after how they have treated Sarah, her family, and conservatives in general, something BTW Bush NEVER did, but some of these interviews about the media and blogs are starting to wear a bit (even though the MSM runs with them with tongues wagging). I know she has to defend her family and these smears about her son are ridiculous. But, when is it time to ignore it and move on...

I guess my final assessment is defend your family to the end and screw your critics. Bush seemed to have this attitude yesterday and even though I disagree w/ much of what he's done, it was nice to see him with a bit of fire and defense of his positions to his critics.

The more anyone calls the media on their stuff the better. Go Sarah.

I’m torn as you are, but I feel like if she wants to have a political future other than just in Alaska, she needs to stop with the interviews about the media. All she’s doing is hurting herself as the very people she is unloading on today will remember this should she make another national run and then it will REALLY get ugly.

I was one of her most ardent supporters and felt she got a raw deal from the media but my gosh, it’s past time to put it to rest. The mainstream media has way more power to hurt her than she does to hurt them.

She needs an army of “surrogates” to do these attacks for her.

In all fairness some of these anonymous bloggers said some pretty nasty stuff and I think they should be called on it. I don’t blame her.....I’d be really pissed also.
Someone has got to call these creeps what they are....get the word out there that they’re full of $hit or it will just be accepted next time around. Look how many idiots believed the stuff that was started by “anonymous pathetic bloggers”. She’s right, this stuff passed for news.

I wouldn’t blame her if she just stayed in Alaska.

I’ve read the Pathetic posts above this one and all I see are what only can be called a bunch of folks who are afraid to for the truth to be told to the people. Sara Palin is going over the heads of the press and none of you fraidy cats realize it.

All Republicans need to follow Sarah’s lead in criticizing the media. It’s a dangerous game for Sarah to take on alone, but exposure of the Omedia needs to be part of the national, conservative plan, and if Sarah is going to take it on, I’m behind her. It’s going to get personal, because the Omedias smear methods are personal.

Just because you have read multiple articles on this subject does not mean that Sarah is giving multiple interviews where she is harping on this subject.

You know...I'm in total agreement that you need to call the media out on this, but you need to direct a response too!

She can't just grouse about it, she has to "direct fire" at the purveyors of yellow media. If she wants to lead, then by all means lead on this issue. If she can't, being she's been so abused by the media, then who can?

1. She should recommend everyone review their 401K portfolios and sell off any GE, NYT, or any other media company which panders to the hard left. List them by name.

2. She should call on corporate CEO's to review their advertising media buying and instruct against supporting leftist publications and broadcasts. It hurts their corporate image and long-term health.

3. Review the state of Alaska's pension portfolios and divest of all leftist media and request other "like-minded" governors do the same.

4. Make it know that she will not accept any interview requests from any leftist media until she receives a full and complete page one or on-air in prime time apology for bringing her family into any discussion or her qualifications. She's fair game as a public servant, but her family is not.

Palin is starting to look like a no class whiner. Point out one time that you wished things had gone differently, then let it go. All of the whining about the press and about McCain and about his staff is just making her look bad.
If she didn’t like the way the campaign was being run she should have stepped up and said something. If she was really unhappy, she could have stepped down. She gained supporters by her stance on the issues but now the only issue that she seems to be interested in is Sarah Palin.

All of those who are piling on McCain from Palin to Joe the (damned near anything but a ) Plumber and his staff look like weasels.

Personally, I’m glad somebody is taking on the MSM.

The only fight she loses seems to be the ones she isn’t allowed to have, as the last election cycle demonstrated.

She probably thinks she was chosen as VP candidate to WIN.

I suspect she was picked to make a convenient target that was not McCain.

If 0bama had gone after McCain directly, McCain would have gone after 0bama, then when McCain went back to the Senate he'd be much less effective in “reaching across the aisle” for 0bama.

As soon as Palin was named, she drew enemy fire like a candle in a silk moth farm. How often was she compared directly to 0bama, and Biden never was mentioned? It's as though SHE was the POTUS candidate, not McCain.

I too am tiring of her whining. if she wants to stay in politics and be something other than governor, offer helpful suggestions or give talks about responsibility and power or something.

CNN’s headline is a slur against Sarah. Makes her seem like a thin skinned conspiracy kook.

Meanwhile Hillary got a pass on her “Vast Right Wing Conspiracy” claim.

She'd be “callin’ some of the shots.”

This is how we won the Revolution, and every war that we won we won because good persons took chances without and beyond what most would have seen as their proper authority.

It's why a "General" is called a General, and the Revolution was full of Generals. Because they have *general* authority. And why a ship's captain (pre-radio days) was an independent operator -- calling shots that could well involve the whole nation in the ramifications.

Responsibility! Not the limits of the mob. Not some lukewarm degeneration of the concept of agency. Not some waiting for a Carter-esque micro-manager to detail in volumes upon volumes of detail regulations. Not some lackey of a candidate following the exact scripting of PR men. The old US coinage motto "Mind Your Business", meant exactly those words of Palin's "Call Your Own Shots".

What can you say about a media who shows more curiousity over the brith origin of her youngest child than that of their favored Presidential candidate?

I'll let Sarah be Sarah and let the chips fall where they may.

Sarah, here’s a bit of advice, worth about as much as you’ll pay for it:

Stop with the interviews. Forget allowing the media to portray how you feel about the media. That’s a no-win fool’s game.

Bypass the media and establish yourself as the voice of patriotism and conservative values.

Do what Ronald Reagan did. He went out and spoke directly to the people about conservative principles. He gave speeches to every Rotary club, Lions club, every civic organization he could find, long before he was ever elected governor. He took the message to the people—the message he crafted himself, without advisors or handlers or spinners. He was genuine and he connected.

That’s what you need to do, Gov. Palin. Speak directly to the people. You’re a sitting governor now, so you can’t really criss-cross the country giving speeches. But in this day and age, you don’t have to.

Start releasing regular (at least monthly) YouTube clips of small, focused speeches, addressing the big issues to the problems America faces today; speak passionately about the conservative answer to these problems. Also, start a regular weekly podcast where you comment on national and international affairs, preferably in a dialogue with another conservative.

This way, you get your ideas out there with no media filter. You show Americans the strength of your values, the sharpness of your wit, and the passion of your heart. You can be the voice of the next conservative revolution, but only if you get out of the box in which the media and the comedians and the bloggers are trying to confine you.

Thank God Sarah has the balls to call a spade a spade.

We can only hope the RNC will let her wear the pants.

To all you weak-kneed media sympathizers, how would you like to have to answer questions about whether, or not your child is really not somebody elses?

Let’s just let Sarah be Sarah. She doesn’t have to be anyone’s punching bag.

She rightly reviews the whole inanity of the Trig “who is your real mommy routine” that is still alive.

I’m glad she is speaking out. She still was more qualified for the White House than the community organizer from Chicago and the moron from Delaware.

If you want to see a whole different view of reality, check out the comments following the article. These deranged folks don’t even realize the spin they swallowed.

And notice, everyone has something to say about Palin, but no one mentions what an idiot Joe Biden is.

This is how half the electorate thinks. And it is scary. There isn’t even a common definition of goodness and what is right or wrong anymore.

Sarah does not need to listen to anyone but herself. The media will always hate her and minimize her, because she is so successful at everything.

Every day she performs a real job.

While today we have one of the Arkansas Grifters being slobbered over as the next SoS.
