(CNN) — Sarah Palin fired a new salvo in her war on the media, unloading in a new interview on her home state paper and “bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie.”

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”

No! She has to keep at it. If you are a conservative, then you know that if you don't address these falsehood they become fact and are set in stone. That has been the problem all along.

If this stuff isn't confronted directly it takes on a life of its own. For instance, in yesterday's View with Ann Coulter Whoopi brought out how Sarah was whining. They don't think she was treated unfairly, but they think that Coulter is treating the Kennedy woman unfairly.

Do you not see the double standard. As I said, if these double standards are not confronted they then become accepted behavior. Even Dale Carnegie advocated taking a problem head-on if it is to be solved. The same applies here.

Chris Matthews: Media Shouldn't Cover RNC Criticism of Hillary (NewsBusters Mark Finkelstein Posted on Tuesday, January 13, 2009)

Now that Barack Obama is assuming the presidency, partisan criticism is suddenly passé. Really, it's all just so churlish, so "yesterday." Just ask Chris Matthews. In the course of cheerleading the MSNBC coverage of Hillary Clinton's confirmation hearing today, Matthews suggested that the media shouldn't cover the Republican National Committee's criticism of Clinton.

The comments came during the Hardball host's chat with Newsweek's Jonathan Alter. A few minutes earlier, Matthews had assured us that those who had the privilege of knowing Hillary personally were aware of what a "wonderful" person she is. Then it was time to attack Republicans for daring not to join the Hillary love-in.

I disagree - lots of people know what these idiots said - they knew more about this than what Obama stands for.

And, I don’t think anonymous bloggers should ever be accepted as part of the media.

Yes, there is a point where it should be over but I think she had to call a spade a spade. They’re like terrorists - you can’t ignore them - it’s too vile.

Thanks mick and I agree with your analogy.

I think on balance that meeting this head-on now makes sense for her. I'm sure she's aware of what polls like the Lake/Kellyanne Conway poll showed after the election -- that while most independents ended up voting for Obama, a very strong majority (64%) of voters across party lines thought SP got a raw deal from the press. To me, this means independent voters will be willing to give her another serious look if she goes for national office.

Deal with the press now while speaking on issues such as the stimulus package, which she did beautifully. Continue to define your conservative values such as I hope she will at CPAC.

She understands that she can't win a war against the press. She even was quoted in this article, "You have to let it go", but I don't blame her one bit for standing up to attacks on her family. She's being ruthlessly singled out among politicians and she's right to stand up to it.

She’s doing it right. She’s defining the media. They may try to characterize it as otherwise but the perception is still getting through that the media is biased. Most people realize this instinctively but they’re puzzled because nobody ever calls them on it.

Sarah Barracuda Strikes Back

Governor Sarah Palin is making her case. From the interview she granted to John Ziegler, which will be a key part of his forthcoming documentary film, to calling out ADN for pursuing the nutroots conspiracy theory concerning her son Trig, the former vice presidential candidate is getting her side of the story out. In several ways she is using the media against itself. Gov. Palin is speaking through the same media which labored for so long to define her down, using it now to define herself in her own terms. She has, after all, a journalism degree, and the governor has learned much from the media's treatment of her since she stepped onto the national stage. With a number of requests for interviews and appearances in hand, Sarah Palin is responding to those which she can use to her best advantage. The latest media outlet which the governor has chosen to speak through is Esquire Magazine. In a "What I've Learned" interview to be published in Esquire's March edition, she has dropped some quotes which will be picked up by news networks, websites and magazines to maximize the impact. CNN, for example, a venue for much of the criticism against her, has included several of her quotes from the Esquire interview in its Political Ticker segment. The money quote from the Esquire interview:
"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me....I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom. And I said, Come on, are you kidding me? We're gonna answer this? Do you not believe me or my doctor? And they said, No, it's been quite cryptic the way that my son's birth has been discussed. And I thought, Okay, more indication of continued problems in the world of journalism."
Here's another quote, one clearly intended to begin reassuring urban dwellers that she wasn't being critical of them when she visited small towns on the campaign trail and praised rural and small town values:
"I would think we all tear up during the national anthem at the beginning of a baseball game, don't we? That's an a likeness between Alaskans and New Yorkers."
Governor Palin seems to be taking a page out of Ronald Reagan's book. He let the liberal elites mock him as a clueless rube and ever so clearly used their underestimation of him to his own advantage.

"Clever girl" indeed.

She’s been beating this dead horse since the campaign ended...

When did this horse die, anyway? Network news continues to be as hostile as ever, their friends in the leftist net ratholes are just as nuts. Should we all just 'Move On', or something? 'Talk about the issues' maybe? Sucking up to the mass media is petty, saying what they would like you to say is in no way 'substantive'. I dislike the popular media intensely and am in her corner 100% on that issue alone.

He is a career member of the Financial Services Committee who has made little or no name for himself since his first electoral victory, and has maintained incumbency through the funneling of pork back to his district. Even his Wikipedia entry says that Kanjorski "usually plays behind-the-scenes roles in the advocacy or defeat of legislation and steers appropriations money toward improving the infrastructure and economic needs of his district." “But [in] the temptation to want to win back...

The winner, according to the Associated Press's article, "MoveOn ad features pro-Obama Republican," was an ad starring Air Force veteran John Weiler. The spot includes Mr. Weiler, whose military service is to be commended, saying "I've been a Republican since before I could actually vote." Not only that: "I'm a lifelong Republican and I'm voting for Barack Obama." I don't know if Mr. Weiler is a lifelong Republican as he claims. I do know that if the Associated Press is accurate in its reporting, he must have been...

Not to take part in their primaries, but due to ideological reasons. Obama seemed to be the major, perhaps the only, beneficiary of all these former "lifelong Republicans", now Democrat voters. These are our findings. ::very big snip:: In retrospect, we never should have put Beauchamp in this situation. He was a young soldier in a war zone, an untried writer without journalistic training. NEW YORK (AP) - The U.S. military's plan to seek a criminal case against an Associated Press photographer in Iraq without disclosing the charges or evidence against him makes a mockery of American democratic principles, AP President and CEO Tom Curley said Saturday. I definitely see a double standard. But what I am trying to say is that Sarah Palin has already addressed her treatment by the media numerous times, and she should move on to other issues now. She has commented on the falsehoods presented by the media. I haven’t heard anything new about Palin since she went back to Alaska. Everything I’ve seen or heard about Sarah Palin is about her talking about her treatment and handling during the campaign. It’s time to for her to talk about something else.
