All those on this thread saying we'll be worse off with Obama on the immigration issue are wrong. The Republicans are more likely to fight Obama hard on the issue than they would have McCain. It will all depend on whether some of the Dem senators who opposed it in 2007 oppose it again.
No matter what we lose...if the GOP fights the issue we lose Florida and other areas with high Latino populations. If we roll over we lose...I don’t know what the answer is, but I can’t see a win-win situation for the GOP in this issue.
