A metric ton is 2240 lbs.

So even at that, 1.5 X 2240 = 3360 lbs.

It’s either a typo, or the thing is made from tinfoil.

Well, I have a half ton pickup (1500 Z71), that weighs around 6,000 lbs. Of course GM makes a 2500 and 3500 models, so I suspect someone is not quite relaying the correct information in the article. You know the press. They’re idiots.

Nope, it’s special Chinese steel. The glorious workers paradise was able to either coerce or convince the element Iron (Fe) to give up some of it’s mass for the sake of proletarian brotherhood and unification in the fight against the running dog capitalists.

Note, there are the same amount of protons and neutrons, they’re just “lighter” than American ones...
