24 has become so overbearingly P.C. it is un-watchable...

I searched their web site a couple years ago for an email address to file a complaint. All I found was their request for "diverse story lines" and imput from "diverse sources". I knew then any complaint would fall on deaf ears.

I'm getting the feeling that this years show will be featuring some “right-wing domestic terrorists.”

Looks that way. I was hoping for Kenyan Muslim terrorists collaborating with black nationalists and communists this season, but that'd be too un-PC even for 24.

Au contraire.

Bauer is unapologetic i a PC world.

He pisses in the Liberal Senator’s cheerios and is then co-opted by the inefective and compromised FBI to save their ass.

“Their way” clearly doesn’t get results and cannot compete in the real world and the only way to solve problems is for Jack to be Jack.

That’s the message I got..

re: Janine the same thought occurred to me.

re: hot FBI chick she is hawt.

re: Jack Bauer’s fighting skillz I sure wish he would lose a fight now and then, for realism’s sake. Surely at some point one of these evil bad guys with paramilitary training would be his equal, or just by dumb luck, put Jack on his keester.

He was also told by one FBI guy that what they were doing to him wasn’t right, what he did was right, and Jack continues to do what Jack wants to do. It could possibly be that this show is on our side???? Or am I being just downright silly/hopeful/begging/pleading?

Maybe that's the point. The people DO need to say. I swear if they bring people up on charges over Gitmo etc. the rage DC hears and feels better make all the flap we raised over the bailout look like a breeze on a summer day. We need to create a Tsunami!

I am scarred to death that the day Obama takes office those renegades in Iraq are going to all come undone at once. I am really worried for our troops there the minute Bush leaves the White House. If any of you are lookin......please please be extra careful. This popped into my head tonight for no reason and I have been stewing about it ever since.

Just yesterday I saw a newsclip where Barney Frank referred to Reagans “Trust but verify.” And then the newsmedia said that something Obama did was so Reaganesque. They are co-opting Reagan and Lincoln. It is also an attempt at trying to brainwash conservatives.

I just keep hearing Reagan’s name thrown out there more and more.

I don’t think it was 15 minutes before Jack was about to gouge somebody’s eyeball out with a ball-point pen.

It looked to me like Bauer was going to stick the Bic through the earhole. Senator Leahy will include ear-Biccing along with waterboarding at his next hearing.

The man is a good actor.

His name is Kurtwood Smith. He's been around. He once did a two-part guest appearance on Star Trek Voyager as a man who'd figured out how to change the fabric of space-time and manipulate history retroactively, and then built a powerful ship around the apparatus that allowed him to do it. It was a time-travel conundrum story explored previously by other Star Trek episodes as well as sci-fi films like The Butterfly Effect and Isaac Asimov's novel The End of Eternity.

I've really enjoyed that series over the past couple of years. It is a shame that I'll no longer watch the program and the dismantling of America's freedom and security. Amen.

Damn, I just watched the show for the first time last night, and now I’m hearing its about to become pussified? Figures. Someone tell me I’m reading this wrong.

Just googled him — my gosh he really IS from Wisconsin (where 70’s show took place, and my home state)! He has been in a lot of things including X-Files and way back he was Clarence Boddicker in RoboCop, the slimy villain.

I tuned in for the first time last night, too. Ye gad, there was no sign of that last night. I thought the show was terrific. And judging by what Bauer told that Little Lord Fauntleroy up on the Hill and the Feebie in the SUV, it doesn't sound to me like Bauer's gonna knuckle under. He'll do what he needs to do and let the chips fall where they may.

Go buy or rent or borrow the whole set and start watching from Season 1. You won’t be able to leave the TV.

Although, having said that, we just re-watched the first three seasons and I was disappointed to realize the second time around that President David Palmer — who stood for great honesty and integrity — was a liberal dem with a big health care plan. That, and the way they portrayed a Republican president later on makes me think the liberal message has been there all the long.

Whatever, it will take way more than what I’ve seen in the new season to make me stop watching 24. One of the few shows worth watching.

I thought so too.

Go for it, Jack! Let's get the conversation started!

But, I'm still a little weary about Janeane Giraffe-a-lo's presence -- she wouldn't take that part without her agenda being voiced somewhere....

I'll be watching her character carefully for PC-isms. Maybe the writers have a surprise ending planned for her... we can only hope.
