How long until they realize they were duped and print a retraction?

The sleek motor was designed by Rory Handel and Maxx Bricklinas from Beverly Hills, California.

Idiots or grifters?

I'm betting grifters.

If I pull on my boots, and KEEP pulling, I’ll reach the moon, right?

I mean that if, like, I pull pretty hard, OK? I’m not crazy or anything...

use a solar-powered battery to get it moving but will then use the airflow passing over the vehicle to power a turbine

That sounds awesome. It actually gives me a brilliant idea I need to get working on the patent. Don't tell anyone but I plan to use solar power to kick start my hot water heater. Then I will use steam from the hot water heater to generate electricity to power my house. Once I get that electricity I will use it to heat my hot water to make even more electricity. If I can get optimal sunlight I think I can power the entire midwest with a solar panel I pulled off an old calculator.

They must have figured out a way to put wheels on one of these, but the wide-load and clearance height is gonna be a problem:

Another Perpetual Motion scheme?

This is almost as good as the Hinged Hammers mounted on an axle, depending on the inertia of the hammers falling forward as the hammer head passed top dead center, making the motion continue by the impulse of the falling hammer.

“Cut away the wind before, and fill it in behind.”

***Supercar to use wind power to reach amazing speeds A revolutionary new supercar will be able to hit a top speed of 155mph - using wind power.****

Nothing new. About 140 years ago some interprising men put a sail on a railroad hand car and went west. They out ran attacking Indians and made it clear to Denver, maybe farther. It has been quit a while since I read of it.

That’s not wind. The headline is wrong.
Also, solar power is what’s pushing the vehicle. It would be extremely inefficient and stupid to use the airflow to push a turbine, unless it is used ONLY when the vehicle is going downhill (and needs no power to go downhill).
But in that case, a simple generator that charges batteries would make much more sense.

Here is a car which is beautiful to my eye, and with proven technology. The Fisker Karma, a luxury alternative to the Chevrolet Volt.

I hope this new American auto company is successful.

It will have a plug-in electric capability, together with a 260hp turbocharged gas engine for hybrid operation.

Estimated sales price in a recent magazine article was $88,000. The same article said it was being assembled partyly in Europe, however the Corporate HQ is in Orange County, California.

Initial production is to be 15,000 units per year.

The guy behind the company is Henrik Fisker, who has designed some nice cars, for BMW, Aston Martin, etc.

http://www.fiskerautomotive.com/vehicles/features/

Many will observe that $88,000 is not your common man’s vehicle. And I will reply that Toyota has over one million hybrids on the road, from the Prius up to high cost Lexus models.

IOW new technology gets road tested and becomes acceptable when it attracts well off users.

I am sure Mr. Fisker has a lower cost vehicle on his drawing board.

These idiots. You don’t need no stinkin turbine. The best way to run a car is to first get it moving with an electric motor. Then, shut the motor off. The car moving through the air has a low pressure region behind it. As the air from the rear rushes in to fill the low pressure region, it hits the back of the car and pushes it forward. The car is slowed by having the wheels turn an alternator that recharges the battery to get it moving the next time. The only energy input is the very first time you run the car. That’s how mine works. When you get rid of it, you can sell the extra energy in the batteries and get your initial energy investment back.
