Down to single digits in his days left in office, President George W. Bush is warning the Republican Party not to become "anti-immigrant" as it regroups from defeat and retools its leadership.
"It's very important for our party not to narrow its focus, not to become so inward looking that we drive people away from a philosophy that is compassionate and decent," the departing president said in an interview broadcast Sunday, nine days before his term ends. "My call for our party is to be open-minded."

It is not enough for our candidates to say they are conservative or Republicans they must also say they are not in any way liberal. I will not vote again for anyone that qualifies conservative with something like compassionate conservative.
I was apoplectic when McCain became the Republican presidential nominee. I still haven't recovered from that. Who ARE these morons who voted for him??? There are obviously two wings of the Republican party. And the "stupid" wing is far bigger than the conservative wing. We were outnumbered. That's why there's no hope for Conservatives in the Republican party.
Bush is a supporter of white genocide and many in the GOP support it as well.
Calling Mr Orwell!
Calling Mr Orwell!
I wouldn't go THAT far.
Fellow conservatives, we have yet to learn the lesson McCain and Bush are trying to teach us.
Conservatism no longer is welcome in the GOP. The GOP does not care that they will be a semi-permanent minority in Congress for the forseeable future.
The GOP has taken off the mask, and they will mind-meld with the Dems, and the illegal immigration issue will show that to be true.
See below for an article written here over 11 months ago. Too bad it turned out to be oh-so-true:

Really where does it stop? Why were our immigration laws changed dramatically in 1965? Why does every race group except white have raced based advocacy and lobbying groups? Why is the border not under control? Why is massive immigration encouraged and allowed?
I believe you are right in that the "stupid" wing is much larger than the conservative wing. I knew quite a few who were adamant McCain supporters during the primary season. They were that sure that his "maverick" status would carry over with the moderates and independents.
What are the odds that GOP will try to win back us conservatives come 2010?
Regrettably, I believe part of the fault is ours -- the conservative electorate.
Once the Contract With America -- a very conservative proposition -- helped Republicans win Congress in 1994, they immediately began straying from conservatism. By 2006, they had lost their way.
The problem was, we didn't effectively police the guys we'd elected.
As a Congressman or Senator lapsed into "business as usual", became beholden to the Beltway mentality, began voting for pork and feeling just a little too comfortable in his job, we didn't discipline them via the primary process.
Knock a couple of incumbent waverers off in the primaries and you'd be amazed how quickly the rest "come to Jesus"...
Perhaps, we were too concerned with the anti-Clinton side of the political game...and not enough with the pro-conservatism side.
But once conservatism is ascendant again, we'll have learned a lesson: Don't let the bastards get away with anything!
The Stupid Wing mainly resides in Da Bush's homeland in the northeast and I don't mean Texas or Florida. It's the same LIBERALCRATS REPUBLICANS who voted Bloomberg, Rudy, and Arnoid in Cali to name a few of their choices. The GOP is dead and it's time for Conservatives to go elsewhere. Let the GOP end as it began which was being LIBERAL!
So called open mindedness is what got us to this point. Please just go quietly.
That article is worth reading!
P.S. I love your tagline!!!
Also,,the supremes in the 2nd amendment decision. Dont give them too much credit. They knew full well that to rule the other way would likely spark the beginning of an open rebellion.
Simple reason, businesses want cheap labor. For example, go to any Greek restaurant and you will find illegals working there.
So success in the crime should be rewarded? Just the fact that you evade all efforts to stop you from coming here means you deserve to be an American citizen? You can’t believe that and be conservative on everything else,,,unless you are clouded on that issue for personal reasons.
Exactly and to our demise. Worker bees who are viewed no better then widgets. A globalist dream of a country without borders, a country without common race, common culture and unity. The very opposite of what 1776 was all about.
Lunatic,,, it isn’t what status a government agency bestows on them, then PRESTO* they are legal. Its the fact that they dont give a damn about following our established laws and immigration proceedures. Legions of Europeans apply, get refused, and don’t flood in anyway.
Mexicans and chinese show our nation no due respect,,,
Then they recreate their mexican hell-holes here.
They would get a lot more support if they would follow our laws, and disavow their brutal, corrupt and failed culture.
So are you arguing that everyone on earth is *entitled* to US citizenship or residency,,,IF they can simply make it here? Insane,,,, how do you profit from them,,,or is this a “cultural” thing for you??
...His second one was just that disastrous!
In my opinion...
Being seen as anti-womens choice will cost the Conservatives similarly.

Perhaps in this case, ‘conservatives’ should have been replaced with ‘Republicans’ but yes - 70% or slightly more of single women voted for Obama. Mark Levin referenced it as did Rush.
Do a search for the whole rape kit story fiasco, or the banning of birth control fiasco. Both false stories gained a whole lot of speed because MoveOn - as well as others, I’m sure - started emails and took over forum postings. The women I work with knew nothing of wealth redistribution, but they knew ‘all about’ Sarah Palin ‘not wanting to pay for rape kits’ and ‘not allowing her daughter to use birth control’. Worst of all, they really did believe that George Bush - who has two daughters of his own - would allow birth control to be outlawed and that McCain and Palin would uphold the law.
The Obama campaign is masterful at using the power of collective emotion. The last minute ads in Ohio focused on womens’ rights; they were powerful, they were highly inaccurate, and we were unable to fight back. It made an impact.
Flame away.
Our problem is the destruction of the family. Women are using government to replace their husbands.
