after all, the sorryazz liberal ringer ma-caine beat them both, LOL

Exactly why we can do without all the wannabes who ran in '08. If they couldn't beat McCain in the primary, they've got no business whatsoever being the party's nominee in '12.

Start fresh.

Then perhaps you shouldn’t have made a snarky and ill-informed comment to begin with.

I think your proposition makes sense. Fred’s run for POTUS was ineffective but he certainly has the experience and savvy to serve as a mentor to Palin. And Fred knows how to deal with the press. Let’s face it: She does need to get a better handle on national/international issues so she can speak with confidence and convince others that she has an understanding of the problems/solutions for the country. What are her solutions for healthcare? Immigration? The budget deficit? Middle East policy, etc? Fred would be a great help to her on these and other matters.

Thompson’s wife Jeri is a media consultant. Fred is an issues guy. Together, they could provide some useful help to Gov. Palin.

As far as campaigning goes, she’s a natural. She’s got the drive that Fred just doesn’t have. But he has the issues knowledge that could be beneficial to the governor.

Sarah, being a true conservative, and a Christian, will prayerfully decide what to do about a presidential run in 2012. I trust her. She trusts in The Lord to guide her through life and so do I.

Go Sarah, Go! Whatever she decides to do with the rest of her life.

Agreed, Josh! Governor Palin is going to need a couple of hired guns working for her over the next couple of years, and if Fred is available, he'd be a good one in terms of policy education, presentation, and support.

I don't think I'd want him running her campaign though.

Sarah Palin should not hire Fred Thompson. And anyone who wants to see her run for president should think about my tagline. As long as rats are allowed to vote in Republican races, we will have tired, sick old RINOs running for president.

Fred's the only person I'd vote for over her right now. If Osama blows it like I think he will She should run in 4 years not 8.

Fred couldn’t make it to the office of President himself. why does she need him?

Ronald Reagan wouldn't have won the nomination this past year. Mike Huckabee saw to it that the conservative vote would be split, thus allowing a pro-amnesty, pro-bailout candidate to get whipped by a completely inexperienced, anti-military, pro-tax, socialist.

Also, the people need to take a good strong look at who financially supported McCain in the primary, and who threw the fundraisers for him at the local level. My former (I'm in another city now) Texas State Senator, Kevin Eltife, was a big supporter of McCain in Tyler. I will donate to his opponent in the next primary.

Keep in mind, Jeri Thompson was one of the key movers behind “Team Sarah.” If the Mrs. is involved, it's a good bet Fred will be involved. I'd like to Ambassador Bolton and someone like Coulter or Ziegler get on board as well. She needs someone dedicate to doing the dirty work of taking on the media on a regular basis so Sarah doesn't have to do it.

However, this underscores the need for Sarah to get a PAC running ASAP. She needs money to pay people for their services...

Obviously, Sarah is the most feared person alive by the Socialist left Rats.

The problem is the RINOpublican party is unworthy of her efforts.

The RINO party must be fixed and have the will to win before committing a once in a lifetime asset like Sarah.

Sarah will be ready and she will win, when she knows this.

Fred didn't really want to be President. How do I know this you might ask? Because I personally know many people who have known him all his life, and they know that he ran only because of his supporters urging him too.

He got a good taste of how Politics work in the Senate, and that is why( along with other personal reasons) he didn't seek a 2nd term.

Fred is a terribly decent man, who has no heart for how the two party system works in D.C.

But if he had wanted to be President, I believe he could have. But most anyone who knows him personally will tell you that he really didn't have the heart for it.

As for his helping Sara Palin; yes indeed he would be a great adviser and supporter!

Yeah, right. You would prefer that she hire Duncan Hunter as her campaign manager so she can get less than 1% of the vote.

Sara Palin has all the qualities that Ann spoke of. She is most definitely a “rising star”

That being said; I have no advice for her other than to just continue being Sara. It’s worked so far!

Fred Thompson could also share with Sarah Palin his insight on the pitfalls of being characterized as "the next Reagan." It comes with a set of expectations that no one, not even Ronald Reagan himself in this day and age, could possibly satisfy.

Excellent idea Josh.
