"*A certified birth certificate has a registrar's raised, embossed, impressed or multicolored seal, registrar’s signature, and the date the certificate was filed with the registrar's office, which must be within 1 year of your birth."

All these things are on the birth certificate in question.

"The Certification of Live Birth is a "short (abstract) version"

Based on what? I must not be, because I got a passport with a birth certificate just like it.

It is corret to say that the certification of live birth Obama made available is indeed a short form version, as it only has the basic information on it. The long-form version has all kinds of other information like the hospital, the attending physician, and the like.

It doesn't matter, however, since the short form version Obama released has all the information necessary to prove he was born in the USA.

On the short or abstract form of live birth.

Of course the accuracy of such depends on the integrity of the archivist or research person. What were they actually looking at to copy? At this time there is no real check on this, save trust in what must be an extremely important document.

To my chagrin, when someone kindly showed the authorization of that particular document (Barack Obama) it was on the reverse side. The signature was of an important and qualified individual. That settles the matter, said I and breathed a sigh of relief.

My dismay was that the signature was a routine statement made with a rubber stamp. This included the signature of Dr Onaka. There is no way in a court of law, the good Dr (not a medical doctor) could be held liable for a rubber stamp signature.

I asked then and maybe he has, verified what was apparently his authority, at least verbally.

All these things are on the birth certificate in question.

Do you see a raised seal in this image, from factcheck.or, I don't. I left it big for easy examination.

The raised seal "magically" appeared in later, really badly taken, images. It should be in the lower right quadrant somewhere based on those latter fact check photos. Based on what? I must not be, because I got a passport with a birth certificate just like it.

I said a Hawaiian Certification was acceptable, if the birth date and the registration date were less than a year apart, did I not?

California's short form as well as Texas' are according to several passport sites I checked not acceptable, you need the long form.

Here's a statement from the City of Orange CA, which has a passport issuing office.

SPECIAL NOTICE - CALIFORNIA BIRTH ABSTRACTS NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE - PASSPORT APPLICANTS BORN IN CALIFORIA MUST SUBMIT LONG FORM PHOTOREPRODUCTION CERTIFIED COPIES OF BIRTH RECORDS - THE SHORT BIRTH ABSTRACT OF RECORDS ISSUED BY MANY COUNTIES AND BY THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTABLE FOR PASSPORT PURPOSES. DUE TO COMPUTER PROGRAMMING THE BIRTH ABSTRACTS SHOW THE COUNTY OF ISSUE AS THE PLACE OF BIRTH EVEN IF THE INDIVIDUAL WAS BORN IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY AND ADOPTED IN CALIFORNIA. A BIRTH RECORD FOR PASSPORT PURPOSES MUST BE THE LONG FORM PHOTOREPRODUCTION CERTIFIED COPIES.
