The ethics investigation into House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Charlie Rangel still is not done despite promises from Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Rangel is being investigated in at least four areas including his failure to report income taxes on a Caribbean villa and the use of rent-controlled apartments in New York.
Pelosi said in November, "The report will be completed by the end of this session... which concludes January 3, 2009."
The Hill newspaper reports the investigation will be further delayed because the ethics committee is currently without a chairman.
the House voted Tuesday to eliminate term limits for committee heads. ..."There's no limit whatsoever on the amount of time Chairman Rangel can remain chairman, despite the ethical questions he faces."

And what is the worst fellow democrats will do to Rangel? Make him promise not to do it again, then turn a blind eye as he does?

I emailed my Congressional Rep. BTW, she has a web poll on her website that you might be interested in responding. She asks: 1) Should the government intervene directly in the economy to correct our current economic problems? and 2) Once the economy has been stabilized, how supportive would you be of government actions to re-regulate banks and financial institutions?
Have fun. It is here” http://www.house.gov/susandavis/
Doesn’t really matter what the people tell her. She will do what she wants. But it is fun to send her stuff.

What happened? Its over silly. No Democrats will be prosecuted for anything now, except disloyalty to Obama.
Brown skinned people too, and muslims.
The only crime now is to “diss” Obama, as they say in the “hood”.

The Democrat-liberal mindset, which also infests county Prosecutors, District Attorneys, the federal Justice Dept. and Congress, subconsciously clings to this bogus notion that a Democrat .... any Democrat.... is a historical victim of ‘conservative white Judeo-Christian European’ oppression, and thus should be immune to prosecution.
Yes, that is somewhat of an exaggeration, but not much.
It certainly is true in 95% of the “reporting” media (not punditry) whereby the AP, Reuters, Google, ABC-CBS, NBC-CNN almost refuse to cover liberal-Democrat crimes because they feel like they are picking on the “victim” ... so to speak.

The United States is just another corrupt 3rd world country with a docile government controlled media. Nature abhors a hill, and we’ve been leveled.

A good resource on Rangel is the
The National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC).
They do excellent work on corruption and other legal issues.

I still wonder whatever happened to the Tom DeLay investigation. It STILL hasn’t been brought to court and the partisan hack who pursued it (Ronnie Earle) has retired if I recall and Chris Bell, the lame duck, who initiated it, has subsquently lost several more campaigns for public office.

It's the importance of the charge that counts.
Republican rumor= Guilty.
Democrat fact= Not Guilty.
