Yeah, I should have been following this months/years ago. But, it’s not even our job to do this stuff.
I can’t find anything definitive as of yet, but it seems to me Cheney should have brought it up right after the count, right when Pelosi last interrupted him starting the applause and standing ovation.
Maybe a lawyer/Constitutional lawyer can speak up and reference or explain what just happened.
I found reference to Federal Rules regarding counting of the Electoral Vote in an article from back in 2004 (when the Dems. objected). From that article it appears that the objection has to be filed by at least one member of the House, and one member of the Senate. My guess at this point is that there is not one Republican Senator in Washington that was even willing to broach this subject...
