Newt needs to have some other sort of factional pulpit, like maybe RNCC. Giving everyone a fair show and keeping the House moving, as Speaker, and prosecuting the platform of the GOP are two often non-overlapping suites of responsibility.

The democrats’ lust for power is ungovernable and unlimited. Now that they have a total lock on the government, I think we’re going to see soem really crazy, third-world type stuff.

Like locking all Republicans out of the chambers of Congress. They could say that since there aren’t enough Republicans left to affect the passage of legislation, there’s no reason for them to even come to work anymore.

They may even declare that the Republican party is an illegal organization because they “supported war crimes,” or some other canard.

Next time some Republican like New Gingrich proposes to change the rules in favor of fairness, it should be pointed out that fairness is partisan, and so is only for Republicans; because Democrats will not reciprocate.

Instead, when next the Republicans are in power, they should tighten the rules further, to escalate against the Democrats until they squeal, because they are locked out of power.

It’s called payback.

It's not the hundred or so Republicans in Congress that Pelosi is screwing. It's the millions of ordinary American citizens they represent.

I wouldn't blame the Republicans if they decided to just walk out and let the Dems have Congress! At least, when things get so screwed up, there would only be one party to blame. That is the only way we will ever overcome the bias media coverage that excoriates Republicans for every conceivable action. At the same time, they either praise every move the Dems make or totally ignore the things that bring negative light to their "chosen ones".

I disagree. Each citizen of the U.S. has a right to full representation. Even though these are House rules, they are being applied unevenly. Pelosi is basically saying that Democrat constituents can have full representation, but Republican constituents cannot. If she is going to make rules, they should be made equally for all members. She shouldn’t have the power to cut off full representation to one segment of the voting citizenry.

EXACTLY. "Reaching across the aisles" only applies when the Democrats are out of power. I am so sick of these damned wussy Republicans - we have no one left to speak for Middle America.
