Comet Lulin (C/2007 N3), discovered in 2007 by a Strait-bridging team of astronomers from Taiwan and China, is swinging around the sun and approaching Earth. Astronomer Karzaman Ahmad sends this picture taken Jan. 7th from the Langkawi National Observatory in Malaysia:

If you want to worry about it, that's fine. But this comet is going to miss us by 37 million miles (or more), which is about 150 time further from earth than the moon, so I will not lose an instant of sleep over this one.

Your calculations are a little off based on the info provided in post #12 (from Chinapost.com) (14.5 times Earth to moon average)
Come out to approximately 3.46 million miles.
I'm not worried because it wouldn't do any good. Just trying to figure why the powers that be decided to rape us at this point in time.
Maybe it's all coincidence. who knows?
