JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBS) ―
Christ Hospital has some answering to do after a still born baby's remains disappeared before arriving at a Jersey City, N.J., area funeral home.
A shocking story came out of Jersey City on Monday night: the remains of a baby were thrown out in a hospital's trash.
The child's family wants to know how it happened and where the baby's remains are now.
Bashire Moore was born days before Christmas with a weak heart that would kill him and when the funeral home came for the body, one tragedy was compounded by another.
The funeral home came to get the boy and his body wasn't there.
"I looked at them and said, 'Excuse me?' And they were like. 'We can't find your son,'" mother Kalynn Moore said.
You heard it right. The baby born at Christ Hospital was lost. Moore's cousin, Nikia Royster, said she accompanied the baby to the morgue.
"He had ID bracelets on both ankles," Royster said. "There was a tag on the t-shirt, and a tag on the blankets."
The funeral home came to the hospital 11 days after the birth of the baby, a child the family said lived for 20 minutes. The hospital and prosecutor said he was still born.

I lived in Union City when I grew up, and used to go to this hospital when I hurt myself as a kid.
I guess we can,t be surprised when people mistake dead infants as trash in our lovely little culture of death.
This breaks my heart, I am so sad for the family.
Very sad. Thoughts and prayers for the mother and family. I hope they find the infant soon so that he may rest in peace.
Can you even imagine going through something as heartbreaking as losing your little baby, and than having some fool in the hospital throw his little body away in the trash?!
Words just fail me!
Isn’t Hudson County wonderful?!?!
I know this hospital as well. Prayers for the baby & family.
Such are the fruits of Abortion, imposed by the US Supreme “Court”!
This is very sad, but why did it take 11 days for the undertaker to claim the body? How long should the hospital have kept it on ice?
or as liberals call it. Choice. Very sad
Tragic.
***having some fool in the hospital throw his little body away in the trash?!***
Makes you wonder how many late term abortions are performed at this facility.
If staff are accustomed to MIShandleing bodies of aborted babies, that would explain alot.
Hello my dear.
Yes, it was a euphoric experience to live in such an uplifting place.
It’s still as backwards as ever!
That’s what I was thinking, the staff probably thought the baby was the result of a botched abortion.
I was thinking the same thing. However, the baby did pass away around the Holidays, and who knows how long the child’s mom was in the hospital. So there were a few things that could have complicated the setting up of the arrangements.
They could have at least tried to contact the family before disposing of the body.
I don’t even think that it got that far though. I think it is just another example of the idiocy going on out there in this lovely world of ours.
That was one of the first things that went through my mind. Are partial birth abortions so rampant over there that they just thought this little one was another of the “unwanted”?
Disgusting!
This is just dreadful.
How could you mistake this baby for a late term aborted baby? This one had name tags on both ankles, a t shirt, probably a diaper and was wrapped in a blanket, according to family. None of those things would have been with an aborted baby.
The baby's body may have been put in a small body bag and the person didn't bother to open it to see the tags.
They probably figured, oh well, just another dead baby in a bag no big deal.
I wouldn't put it past these places to send the bodies of these unfortunate children out to be harvested for who knows what.
Maybe they shouldn't be looking in a dump. Maybe they should check out the labs and research facilities around there.
Under Obama, that is a legal action.
I wish he were aborted by the maggot Liberal woman who brought him into this world.
